Hola!
Just a quick update. After the cab fight, we spent a few days in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. As you can see from the picture, James enjoyed a few local beer! Leaving Honduras we flew to El Salvador and Peru for lay overs before flying to Argentina.
We happily arrived in Buenos Aires and it is as great as we remembered. We have eaten huge chunks of meat and consumed numerous bottles of wine. And have now rented an apartment for the next 2.5 months. We were excited to unpack our backpacks and hangout on our balcony last night. The plan is to spend the next couple of months volunteering and practicing spanish.
Hope to hear from you all soon, and if any wants to come visit we have double futon with your name on it (and it is summer here)!

Hi you 2
Happy to hear and see you have settled in. Just don't get to comfortable there, remember you have a house here in SASKATCHEWAN!!!
It is winter here and has been very cold, you might just have some takers on the futon offer. Beer isn't the beverage of choice here more like hot chocolate.
Miss and love you a bunch
MOM
Hello,
Great to hear that you have an apartment! How exciting! Thanks to your mom we have an address.
We were out at a triple header concert, last night. Emerson Drive, Terri Clark and Big & Rich - 2nd row from the front - Terri Clark threw her guitar pic and we got it and then Big threw the drummer's stick directly to me! Plus we got a Big and Rich "dollar" bill. What a night! Started at 7:00 - finished at 11:30. Truly unforgettable!!
Katie had her 18th birthday, yesterday. We had her friends over for brunch. Then, she went out for a late lunch with a friend from Estevan. Afterwards she went with her friend, Adam, for supper at the Freehouse followed by co-hosting Maple Cutouts. She reported a fabulous day!
She took a new job at Java Express. Starts next week!
It has been very cold here, but what is Saskatchewan without the cold. I am taking a belly dancing class with my sister. She made me a cropped, beaded shirt and bought me a belt. It is so much fun. The class is offered at the YWCA.
Glenn is working on a few orders for spring - hard to believe it is only a couple months away. The plants in our house are beginning to bloom so we know it is not far away. The days are even getting longer!
I agree with your mom - people are drinking a lot more coffee and hot chocolate. We got a capacinno maker for Christmas - we have frothing up a storm!
Take care,
Love,

Hello,
It is sooooo..........good to hear you are settled for a while. Maybe something will come up and who knows who will be sleeping on your futon. We can always wish. We were in Lethbridge yesterday as Rylan had two soccer games. Marilyn drove with Rylan and I and Levi came to watch. I was good to see him and his new pad. The drive home was a little scary as it snowed all day and night. It took 3 hours and we were exhausted.
Nash stated the dog obedience course last week so worked with Sadie on some lessons. Sadie gets to go this week and I get to take her as Nash has a soccer game. We will see who learns something and is more disciplined. She is really becoming a part of the family. Scary thought!
Shivon will be starting work in the bakery at Walmart tomorrow. We will see how that goes as Nash can't believe anyone would let her go near an oven. She is also looking at applying at some Land Agency to see if she can find something in her line of work. School will be done in about 3 months so getting her foot in the door is a good thing.
The apartment will be nice to have a place to call home for a while. Enjoy yourselves and keep in touch. Take care. Love the Hayward's
It is very cold here in Alberta and I am royally jealous of you being in warm land. I had quite drinking coffee for two months, but with the cold weather, I have fallen off the wagon. I am back to my cup a day (but man I enjoy it!). I can't believe you have been gone almost 6 months now. I am flying to SK in March and I will miss not getting to see you. Anyways, take care! We miss you lots.

Love to come stay, but you two sound like you are having a plenty good time and it is only about 4 weeks give or take til the new one arrives.
-37 tonight, windchill -43.......
-51 today.... unbelievable!
Wish we were on your deck!

I can't believe the degrees these guys are referring to !!
Thank you for your message :-) It was great hearing from you again. It sounds like a great idea to rent an apartement in your beloved country :-)
The Altiplano of Bolivia is fairly cold, but luckily nowhere near the temperatures in Saskatchewan. But enough to make me wear my jacket every day. The volunteer work is going alright, I enjoy being with the kids and I have great collegues. I'm 40% at a children's orphanage, and 60% at a primary school (where I'm in charge of the Physical Education) It is good fun and challenging. I'm not thrilled about the organisations efforts in finding me a place to live, though. I commute 3 hours return trip every day.
We've had some heavy rains in Bolivia, and in my house are now on our fifth day without water. I'd never thought it would be such a hassle living without water. I do my very best, and try to use public toilets whenever I can :-) and borrow showers from friends in other parts of the city. But when thinking of the fact that more than 30 people have died during the heavy rains and several thousand are without homes...my problems sure are of minor importance.
The cute things on the front of my blog, were the daughters of my cousin. They were headliners in the local newspaper yesterday, as they have decided to give all their savings and have raised funds from the local community to the orphanage that I'm working on.
I'm having a great time. and I really like Bolivia (but this week, I've found that the commuting is killing me )
Carneval is coming up this weekend, so it will all be good :-) Bolivia will stand still (or maybe the opposite) for four days. I'm looking forward to it :-)
also excited about seeing you guys in Buenos Aires :-D I'll be arriving on March 18 or so...so if we can find to a steak, a bottle of vino tinto and maybe a coffee :-) It would be fantastic!
Has James installed a hammock in your apartment yet?
Oh God, this was a long message..maybe it had suited better as an e-mail :-)
All the best from
Steinar
