R.I.P. Ruby 1992-2007

Our beloved Ruby is no longer with us. After many miles of blood, sweat, and tears (mostly sweat) we must part ways. We will miss the roar of your muffler and the gentle sipping of gasoline that you were well known for. May the Goddess of Metros give you another good run in Huehuetenango.

well folks, our dearest ruby is no longer canadian. the transmission was scewed and a new kit was 1000 dollars. we decided to give-sell it away and pay the tax. we had a tourist service help us with the customs for free (which was great), and sold his girlfriend the car for a couple hundred bucks. it cost us 900 at the border for the tax and paper work, but now meighan is free to leave the country (a very good thing). it took him 2 hours on the phone one day and 5 hours at the border the next day with us, but at least we got it done.

anyway, all is good and the adventure continues...just minus one of the family. we were sad leaving her, but i think she just wanted to stay in huehue. the new family is going to fix her and drive her here so she lives on.
