Meighan and James Its a gas to read your progress. I expect your brains hurt from spanish lessons - are they all day or half days with afternoon outings?
How are you liking Guadalajara? There's some great inexpensive food particularly by the mercado, however after dark its pretty dodgy around there.
I don't know if you have gone or not, but a trip to Tlacapaque and Tonala is worth it - you can bus down and cabs are only 40-50 pesos and no parking hassles. Lots of real good and reasonable eats around the zocalo in either place. The volume of crafts for sale in Tonala is unbelievable.
There's an old line about one of the nuggets of wisdom one gets while getting old - never trust a fart. It seems you have gained this insight.
good advice Jim! both about the farts and the places to visit. planning this for the weekend along with Zapopan. i still can´t pronounce tlacapaque correctly, but i did give someone the right time on the street the other day!
